Celebrity of The Day: Chris Bender

Chris Bender is one of the singers who was very good but yet very underrated and here's why. Tragically he got murdered right when his career was taking off. Can you believe that. A very talented man who gets killed all due to someone being foolish and stupid.


My favorite of his will always be "Spellbound." I fell in love with that song and it will always be a favorite to me.

Celebrity of the day: Tony Thompson

Tony Thompson  was the lead singer of the group Hi Five and one of my favorite singers. He was such a good singer  and loved the way he controlled his vocals and all. I could tell he loved to sing and manage things. Some of my favorite songs by Hi Five includes the songs " She's Playing Hard To Get", "Never Should've Let You Go", "I Like The Way{The Kissing Game", and my ever favorite song by them "Quality Time".

When Tony started working on his solo career I became in awe of this. You outta hear his solo album. It's the bomb. My favorite songs by him includes the songs "I Wanna Love Like That", "Sweat",  "My Cherie Amor" which is the remake of Stevie Wonder's classical song, "What's Going On" and my ever favorite by him, "Come Over."

When I heard that Tony had died, I was in shock. Not only was Tony such a great man, but he was such a very good singer  and had syle and talent. He had a lot of class too. I made a tribute to Tony by playing all of my favorite songs on Myspace. I want to honor Tony now by making him Celebrity of The Day. Congratulations Tony Thompson and R.I.P. you will live on in our hearts forever. Tony thompson forever. Peace. 

Celebrity of the day: Luther Vandross

Luther Vandross has been one of my biggest role models and biggest inspirations ever since when i was a little girl. I loved listening to Luther Vandross's music and I loved the way he sings. He was also such a smooth and talented dancer who always knows how to move.  And  I  fell in love with his songs too. My favorite songs by Luther Vandross includes "Can  I  Take You Out Tonight", "If Only For One Night", "Knocks Me Off My Feet", "Superstar", "Here And Now", "I'd Rather", and my personal favorite, "Your Secret Love".

When Luther Vandross died, and right close to my birthday, on July 1, 2005( My birthday is July 8) I was devastated and really sad. I knew he had a stroke and that's probably what he died from, maybe complications of a stroke, but I was still sad though, and I wish he was still around. But when I get a chance to become famous, I'm going to make a tribute album to him, dedicated to Luther's memory, because he was always one of my favorite male singers.

Celebrity of the Day: Barry White

Barry White was one of my favorite singers and one of the maestro's of all time. His voice had that sexy, raspy, but smooth baritone voice to it. And you gotta admit, he was flipping hot in real life.  My favorite songs by Barry White includes "practice, what you preach", "put me in your mix",  and others.
i also liked "the sunlit garden", which includes Al. B sure, Debarge, and James Ingram and Quincy Jones. 
So i honor barry white by making him celebrity of the day. Congratulations Barry White and R.i.P.

Celebrity of the Day: Kurt Cobain

Kurt Cobain is one of the greatest singers of all time during the grunge metal days of the early 90's. Kurt Cobain also happens to be one of my favorite singers of the grunge eras too. It was so tragic when he died but i understand as to why he did it. Being a rock star can be full of advantages and problems, especially with the media. And i believe he was a good father to Frances cobain, as well as a loving husband to Courtney Love. And i don't buy the whole " Courtney Love killed Kurt Cobain" shit, because why would she hurt the man she loved so much, as well as the father of her child. They both loved each other so much, and i believe they really were meant to be soulmates. And she still loves him too. But i Love kurt cobain so much that this is why Kurt Cobain is honored as Celebrity of the Day. Congratulations Kurt Cobain, and R.I.P.

Celebrity of the day: Phyllis Hyman

Phyllis Hyman was one of the greatest singers i have ever heard. She had such a great and powerful voice and its sad to hear that she passed away 15 years ago. If only i was older and ran into her. I would of told her how much i enjoyed her music, as well as how much i enjoy her outfits. She knows how to wear style and she was simply beautiful and breathtaking. Im in love with this woman and im a fan for life now. Such a kind and powerful woman.

R.I.P. Phyllis Hyman, beautiful angel and gift from God. You inspire me to follow in your footsteps and use my voice with wisdom and power, rather than abuse it and treat it like trash. Glad to see you have such loyal fans that stood by you all the way. I now want to be that fan.

And your so good that you definitely know earns the title of being this week's Celebrity Of The Week. Congratulations and Rest in Peace Phyllis Hyman. The true Queen of Soul.
